"I'm fine," he answered, almost automatic, as he pushed himself to his feet. Also automatic, he reached up to adjust his eyepatch, ensuring that it was properly settled over his right eye; an action that was starting to become a common nervous habit of his. He felt a little unsteady, maybe, but it still just felt like waking up after losing a lot of blood. Nothing he couldn't handle.

Where were they? He took a better look around, taking stock of the situation. It was him, Pixie, Wolf, and some other guy he was unfamiliar with, in a window-less steel room. He didn't remember getting here, and he'd never seen anyplace like this before - had they been taken by the overseers?

Wait - that meant -

That meant Garnet was still alive, didn't it? In a room like this? He could hope. He had cause to, now.And if Garnet was still alive, that meant saving her ( ... )

Well. That was an unexpected request. But after a moments thought he could see the logic in it, if nothing else. It was not something he himself would have thought to do, nor was it something he would entertain thoughts of under more normal circumstances, but it had its advantages.

"I believe I could indeed," he answered after a pause. "Did you have a preference as to which side you would prefer to begin with?"

"Um." Blink. He didn't expect that question. A few seconds' pause and then he pointed hesitantly at the wall to his right, for the sole reason that he was right handed so it was the first hand he thought to bring up to point with. He realized halfway through the gesture that he couldn't even see himself do it thanks to that huge blind spot he was still getting used to, which made him turn his head to look as well.

It was a perfectly logical question, in Xemnas' mind. Small though their cells was he could hardly cut through both walls at the same time. He would be getting to them both, but in due time.

"I presume the intent is to carve something approximately door-shaped?" he asked, as he moved to stand next to the wall in question.

"Yeah, sure." That sounded like a good enough idea to him. Better than anything he was going to suggest (which wasn't anything; Raiel wasn't exactly a strategist over here).

[And that this point I'm going to say let's move it down to the cell A01 thread.]
