Hanagata was pacing along the length of a hallway, dressed in his frilly nightgown. He was absolutely panicked.

What was happening around here? People on the network were saying people were vanishing, just disappearing into thin air. How could anyone do something like that?! He held his head in his hands and growled under his breath.

Everyone was going to die. They were never going to go home.

He would never even get to see if Otaru and Yumeji were still alive.

Iris stepped away from the computer in horror after seeing Maya's message. She knew what had happened. Tears once again came down her cheek. She turned from her room into the front area. She didn't know what was happening, or what she could do about it.

"Harry! Miss Hawkeye! Miss Giselle? Anyone?!" She just prayed she wasn't alone.

Hanagata slowed to a stop as he heard Iris's voice. He peeked into the front room and saw her standing there.

"So not everyone's gone yet..."

She momentarily forgot herself and ran to hug the man she saw standing there. "Oh, good. Not everyone has disappeared yet. Have you seen Harry?"

Eva and Thomas. lilacvampire September 3 2009, 04:12:48 UTC
Evangeline had been there since only minutes after the healers vanished. Perched over a table of notes, supplies, diagrams. A charm, a ward set, an anchoring point. A means to fight back. Every idea had some hitch, some thing she lacked in this world. Some spell she lacked the power to incant.

She screeched and cleared the table with a wave of her hand and a flurry of icy winds. "I hate this stupid city! I can't craft a protection spell large enough for a person. I can craft one small enough for a Resort, but I can't build a resort here!" She growled, "This is the most humiliating thing I have ever suffered... next to Albireo." She was definitely pouting... even if she wouldn't admit to it.

Thomas didn't know what to think anymore. The Healers had vanished...not kidnapped...poof vanished. He felt frustrated, like there was nothing he could do. Eva had come over and had been plotting for awhile now while Thomas had kept and eye on the network.

Minako was gone. He didn't realize how close he was to the young woman until he had heard she was gone. He almost wanted to cry...and then of course he had found out he was an uncle...an uncle! The baby and his sister-in-law was going to disappear soon too and it shook him to the core. He wanted to go find Harry and shake him...but he knew Harry realized this reality as well ( ... )

Evangeline didn't want to think about what she was feeling under her anger. It was a feeling she had not truly felt in 500 years. She last felt it right after she was turned. In the moments after she realized she was no longer a little girl but before she had decided to kill the person responsible. She turned away from Thomas's eyes, "I don't want to give up. I don't want people I don't hate to vanish. I want to find those guilty of this and shatter them!"

Her words and grand gestures all a cover for that feeling she did not wish to remember. Although her words were true, she liked spending time with Vyers, playing with Yellow, toying with Orihime, training with Negi, working with Harry, and sleeping with Thomas. She did not want to lose certain people here.

She took a few steps away, this was so silly, so her voice was quiet, "I'm too old to feel this. I've killed too many people to be allowed to feel this. Me, the most feared dark witch in all the world, scared... laughable."

"Well, we might get a chance after we vanish, who knows," Thomas hoped they did. He hoped because he wanted to show them the true horror they had unleashed by pissing off people like himself. He wanted to utterly destroy the bastards, probably as much as Evangeline wanted to ( ... )

Peter was perched on the outside wall, next to a still open window. Staring out at Manhattan, he could feel tears starting to streak down his cheeks.

Some hero he was.

What was he supposed to do? He could join the dozens of people replying to the message, telling then that they would never get away with it, and that he would stop them, but what would that accomplish?

But he couldn't lose hope now. He would stop them, and they weren't gonna get away with it. He just didn't know how he was going to make that happen.

Saturn had just posted her message onto the network, a feeling of calm spreading through her. She wasn't scared and she wasn't angry either - no, she was very determined. She was both a healer and a destroyer, and she had seen too many people hurt because of what this inhuman company had done. She stood by her words - she would not let this go on anymore.

She walked outside to take a breath of fresh air, gripping her glaive and waiting for anything and everything. Looking up, though, she spotted someone sitting far up next to an open window. She thought she may have recognized him.

"Are you okay?" she called.

Peter stared at the girl for a moment, then jumped down to the ground to join her. He envied the determintion that radiated from her. At least someone here was able to keep it together.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do," Peter admitted, voice cracking in fear, "I... I'm supposed to protect this city, but how can I protect it from this"

Saturn smiled at him, the look in her eyes far too old for her face. She rested her glaive in the crook of her arm and looked up at the sky.

"There are a lot of things that we think we can't do," she replied calmly. "But we never know if we can do them until opportunity arises." She looked back at him, a strange glow in her violet eyes. "This is only the end if we say it's the end. We can't give up."

Now her voice took on a pleading, childlike quality more suited to her apparent age. "Please don't give up."

'Say goodbye to your loved ones'

What a statement to make. Molly was furious, how dare they try and play with everyone's lives like they were some disposable piece of trash. The nearest electronics gave out, her temper snapping the more she thought on it. She was done crying, even though she was terrified. She had good news despite all this.... this bullshit, and no way was she just going to sit here and mope.

With that thought in mind, she left her room in search for Harry and the others

Riza was done being sad as well. It was horrible what was happening, but Riza was not one to just give up and pity herself for what was going on. She knew it was a long shot, but she was suiting up for war now. Disappearing aside, they didn't know what happened after wards. If Riza could manage it, she was going to go down fighting...or at the very least armed to the teeth.

She was going through the weapons that were stashed around the lobby area when she noticed Molly. "Molly," she paused, "it's good to see you." Those words seemed to hold more meaning than they should.

Harry was exhausted, both emotionally and physically. He'd spent the last few hours casting every spell he knew that might have had a chance of repelling whatever Tagruato was doing. He knew the chances of them working against the corporation's technology was slim, but he couldn't just sit and do nothing ( ... )

Molly turned, noticing Riza raiding the lobby of all her stashed weapons. She stared for a minute, once again surprised of just how many were in the general area before truly smiling at the woman, happy for the both of them once again. "Same here." She replied, watching Harry arrive next.

She wrinkled her nose at him, making a slight display of her annoyance while rearranging her hair back to it's proper messy order. "I'm fine." The butterflies in her stomach said differently, and she smiled weakly to afraid to say much more than small sentences.

The smile held for only a few seconds more before wavering, biting her lip as she tried to suppress the sudden tears. "....Okay I'm lying. I'm so scared." Her hand formed a fist, refusing the instinct to curl into a little ball and cry in terror.

Terra and Beast Boy atleasticansee September 3 2009, 08:41:45 UTC
The message board post had gone up at least a few hours ago. Confusion, then fear as the news spread. And then people who weren't Healers were getting taken. People like Spin. Like Rosette. How many people were left before it came down to Terra? How much longer did she have ( ... )

Beast Boy hadn't even switched off the computer when he'd hit the send button on that last message. He'd made sure it had gone through, and then got up, and run out of the apartment that he and Starfire shared. He hoped she wouldn't disappear too whilst he was gone - but Terra she... he had to get there first. He wouldn't let her go without a fight.

He'd almost exhausted himself by the time he got the the building. The green cheetah ran up the the front doors, panting heavily before pushing the doors open and running inside. He was about to run all the way up the stairs too, when his feline nose noticed that her scent was very near, and with a tail twitch he glanced over, before skidding his way over, morphing back into himself just before he reached Terra - which of course made him crash into her.

"Terr-ahh!" he yelped as they toppled over, before Beast Boy quickly sat up. "Oh man, sorry about that dude! Are you okay?"

Truth be told, Terra was so relieved that Beast Boy made it here alive, that she had someone here to share what might be her last moments, that she didn't even care about him running into her and toppling her over. She almost welcomed it, in fact; it was a huge reminder that this was all still real.

"It's okay, Beast Boy," she told him with a smile after sitting up herself. Without any hesitation, she crawled over next to him and wrapped him up in her arms. She held him while her voice held barely contained fear. "I'm okay. We're going to be okay."

She was obviously upset. Truth be told, Beast Boy didn't really want to be collected and turned into a monster either, but if he had any say in the matter he wasn't going to let Terra go. Not like this.

"Of course we are," he smiled, before sitting up a little more and then wrapping his own arms around her, nuzzling into her shoulder slightly. "I'm not gonna let you go anywhere, okay?"
