Megan popped into the college with her usual flare of dark and pink magics. Normally, she avoided certain areas of the island due to how they felt. Someone nearby was less than good, and she'd rather look elsewhere. However, since she was running out of places to look for supplies, and Mister Stark made it clear this was her best bet, she swallowed her fear and went to the area anyway ( ... )

It was the darkness that caught Xemnas' attention. He'd been inclined to believe that there were no Heartless here and he hadn't bothered to make any. No need here. Not with things as they were. He was not so willing to destroy a world when he was unsure if he could properly escape it at the end of all things.

However, with both himself and Zexion left unable to create portals thanks to the oddities of this place there were very few people he could think of that could do so. Had one of the others of his Organization retained the ability? And if so what else had they lost? The answers were not something he could answer on his own, however.

And really, he didn't need to return immediately, already turning in the direction the darkness had come from. He could not simply leave such a tantalizing option alone. If there was yet a way to escape the place he owed it to both himself and Zexion to find out both what it was and if it were something that was repeatable. By whatever means necessary ( ... )

Megan didn't notice at first that she wasn't alone in her searching. She pushed her extra sense out of her mind. Away from her conscious mind, it made searching easier. If she focused really really really hard on not thinking about the darkness it didn't make her skin crawl so much.

She grabbed a few more items off the shelf before she finally turned and noticed she wasn't alone. "Eep! Um... hi?" She wasn't exactly sure how to deal with this. He was creating the darkness... and it felt familiar but, maybe he wasn't a bad guy. Okay so he looked really creepy but... looks don't say everything... right?

Ah. So he'd been noticed. No matter, it was simple enough to put on a smile and offer a polite nod. After all, he had not yet forgotten what it was to be polite, although he was so only when such things were required. How could he have, when to forget that was to forget the precious few memories of his life that he could remember?

"Good afternoon," he answered, with a slight nod. Nothing out of the ordinary here, really. Certainly nothing to fear. Or so he was attempting to suggest, at the very least.
