The mental projection that immediately chased it involved an enthusiastic Mr. Scott at the food bar, and Jim at the bar itself. Doctor McCoy would naturally accompany the captain. Lieutenant Uhura, on the other hand, would be a light in the gathering.
Spock surveyed the room, half-expecting to catch a glimpse of the bridge crew members employed in those specific activities. Perhaps if they were not present...

Which was why she'd arrived before either Starr or Missy, because being dragged to a large party was worse than being at one in the first place and she knew her fellow Divas would do plenty of dragging if she tried to avoid this one.
She'd partaken of the punch bowl - leave the bar to J and Morris, they'd enjoy it more - and staked out a corner. Even without being a Trekkie, it was impossible to miss the pointy ears that walked by, and what was it with her meeting people off the network lately?
She approached him from behind. "Spock, right?"

The words, however, expressed a certain familiarity with his identity.
This particular situation was becoming somewhat more common than Spock would have originally predicted. Beginning with Nero's informal greeting on the bridge of the Enterprise to the recognition articulated by the various denizens of Manhattan regarding his "Nimoy-status", Spock was beginning to believe that this other alternate "Nimoy" was absolutely shameless in his quest for recognition ( ... )

"My name is Foxx," she replied simply, ever the mistress of the straight face. "I believe we've spoken on the network."

There was a good deal she wanted to find out, such as how that music was playing without any instruments! Or how those moving pictures were appearing in that box in the lobby. However, first things first. This party would be greatly lacking if there wasn't any sweets. Cake? Cookies? A piece of fudge? She wasn't fussy. The tarutaru was open to anything that would please her sweet tooth. It was all just a matter of getting at it.
Shantotto looked vaguely annoyed as she looked up at the food table, trying to see what was there. Barely passing two feet made this rather difficult. Did humes always have to put things so high up? This was going to require a chair.

There was a tiny little girl... Sort of... At the big food table looking up at it. In some ways she reminded Kairi slightly of a Moogle.
"Hey! Kairi crouched down beside the girl with a bright and welcoming smile. "I haven't seen you around here before. Did you just get here?"

"You're quite correct, I arrived not very long ago. However not many have noticed my presence, as far as I know," she replied, glancing back to the table in thought for a moment, then back to Kairi.
"Although we've only met, I don't suppose you could be a dear? And fetch a chair and bring here?" Shantotto then asked.

"Welcome, then! Are you just joining the party or are you living here now?"
After a nod and a soft giggle, Kairi got up and got a chair for the girl. Everyone should be able to at least enjoy the food, right? "By the way, I'm Kairi."

He'd already greeted Sora (that kid was awesome) and checked out the layout, staking out the bar for later and grinning in appreciation of the music in the ballroom. They really had something great set up here, and he couldn't wait for more people to arrive. What caught his eye, however, was the video game setup - more specifically the music themed games. He was fingering the plastic guitar and grinning - with any luck, he could get someone else to join him. If all else failed, he could track down his fellow Agents - it wasn't like a few of them to miss a party, and it wasn't like him to let the rest of them miss it either.

His eyebrow raised in curiousity when he noticed J had one of the video game guitars on. It didn't look like he had anyone else playing with him yet, so maybe he was waiting for someone. One thing was for sure: Daniel was not a video game person, so he wasn't really planning on joining in.
(Yeah, that always works out.)
"Hey J, long time no see. So what exactly is all this?" he asked, nodding at the game set-up. It looked familiar, but again, not a game person. The explorer smirked at his friend. "Looks like you're short a few players. Or are you going to play by yourself?"

And, of course, she had to hold back laughter when she realized just who were the first two people to step up to the game. This was going to be entertaining to watch.

However, she had to adit she was curious about the strange video game. She wasn't sure if they were actual instruments, music wasn't her forte after all, but none of the less, they looked functional... the drums at the very least, so she went to investigate those. She didn't know any of the players, but one of them looked as if he had the same uniform as Mister Spin.

She spent most of her time learning about this place, and things about it. She had found a few very nice books to carry with her. It felt nice to have things in her pockets again since her spirits vanished. In fact, a large book of fairy tales was sticking out of her larger pocket. She gracefully moved through the room, despite her weighted pockets, looking for something interesting.

In his wanderings around the decorated lobby, trying to decide if he should put up pretenses or just say screw it and head straight for where the food was. Maybe there were cupcakes, or better yet, some of those burgers if there was enough meat for it...
However, on the way there, he almost bumped into another young woman who was dressed an awful lot like a princess. He'd gotten used to the idea that princesses were not so uncommon in Manhattan, but still, this one was new. And he couldn't help but be intrigued by those books in her oversized pockets. "Awwrr...hello, there!"

She rested her hand on the book of fairy tales in her pocket, "This city is so large, its nothing like even the King's castle... or home. To think that this place is just a common inn." While she spoke, her hand didn't leave the book.

"Hrrm, castle?" This was definitely starting to confirm the princess idea. The name didn't sound familiar at all, but perhaps she was from the Eighth Kingdom, which he hadn't ever been to and was supposedly a little hostile. "I don't suppose you come from any particular kingdom?"

Dressed in his hip disco suit, sunglasses perched proudly on his head, Goofy cycled through the available songs until he found one that made for good background music, something that people could talk over while they were still settling in.
Leaning back, he smiled seeing everyone having fun. This was exactly what they needed.
