The words, however, expressed a certain familiarity with his identity.
This particular situation was becoming somewhat more common than Spock would have originally predicted. Beginning with Nero's informal greeting on the bridge of the Enterprise to the recognition articulated by the various denizens of Manhattan regarding his "Nimoy-status", Spock was beginning to believe that this other alternate "Nimoy" was absolutely shameless in his quest for recognition.
Naturally, it was less probable that the Nimoy these people were referring to involved the Ambassador.
He turned partway, glancing at the woman with exotic hair over his left shoulder for a second before turning to face her fully. She did not appear to be an immediate threat.
"That is correct," Spock confirmed in a neutral tone. "I am Commander Spock. To whom am I speaking with?"

"My name is Foxx," she replied simply, ever the mistress of the straight face. "I believe we've spoken on the network."

The introduction garnered instant recognition. Spock's expression betrayed none of the irritability that was quickly suppressed at the visual confirmation of the very person who had made free to convert his application routines.
She was not...entirely what he had expected.
He was not surprised that she displayed no remorse for her actions. James T. Kirk had similarly displayed none.
"Yes. I believe we have." Spock straightened, hands folding behind him in its customary position. If he stood a bit taller, well. It was certainly a trick of light. "I presume there is a purpose in your attempt to communicate with me."

"On the network?" she clarified. "I was curious, and believed I could help once I'd seen what you'd written. Here...you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find intelligent conversation. I thought you'd be a safer bet than most of the other people I've met."

"I would not suggest disregarding a person's intelligence on the basis of their technological skills," Spock offered, tone not as reserved as it had been previously. "However, I must admit that I had not expected anyone to summarily intercept my messages." There was no boastful qualities to Spock's words, just an awareness of his limitations and the cognition that in Starfleet, he was considered one of the best.
