As soon as Pence had gotten the final message from Roxas, he'd been trying to tidy his room. It was a mess, Olette would totally have murdered him if she'd ever seen it like this, and then gotten out big black bags and demanded to go through his entire room and get rid of loads of stuff. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as it had previously been, what with Hayner gone and all, and Pence managed to get most of the mess under his bed, or stuffed rather untidily into a small and overfilled closet that almost looked like the door was bowing from the strain. He was just about to sort out his desk, which was full of notes, theories, scraps of paper, and a fair amount of photographs before he heard the door knock.
"Uh, just a sec!" he called out, attempting to organize his desk and failing dismally, eventually just giving up and shoving them into a messy pile. Oh well, it was cleaner than it had been ten minutes ago, and that had to count for somethingPence then went over and opened the door, giving Roxas a small smile. He still wasn't sure why

Roxas didn't really pick up on Pence's nervousness, although the Nobody did seem pretty awkward in his own right. It was so much easier to be hostile; he didn't have to think about what he was going to say that way.
He looked at Pence, looking momentarily as confused as to what the heck he was doing there as Pence was.
"I just ... wanted to ask you some stuff," he said with an obviously affected shrug.
Pence blinked at Roxas, before nodding, leaning on the door a little. “Uh sure!” he said, obviously not very sure at all about this. He was happy to answer questions if Roxas had them, but last time he’d spoken to Roxas it had spiraled into insults, which Sora had to break up. Pence had almost given up on stretching out his olive branches - which is why he’d not sought Roxas out, mostly keeping to himself lately - but at this time Roxas came to see him first. Pence had just wanted to give him some space, and it obviously had worked, cause here Roxas was, wanting to talk to him. Whether that was a good or a bad thing, Pence wasn’t sure of yet.
He watched Roxas for a moment, before smiling and motioning for him to come in. “You don’t have to stay in the hallway though, y’know,” he teased, cautiously, before moving a little so that Roxas could come in. “But yeah, what did you want to ask me about?”
Roxas edged inside and spent a little longer than he meant to looking around the room, still kind of hesitant.
Just as the silence was starting to get intolerably awkward, he blurted out, "When w - when you were ten years old - did Olette fight with Hayner because she made this - this clay pot at school, and she was really proud of it, and Hayner broke it by accident with his Struggle bat?"
