Riza was talking about herself, of course. She was on her way to try meeting with Garnet or Flute in person, since the network hadn't done a lot of good from what she'd seen. It was worth a shot, at least. It was... the most effort she had really meant to put forth about the whole thing in a few days. This was getting tiring.
...Shit.
That wasn't Flute or Garnet. That was the reason she was feeling like shit. (No, she was the reason she was feeling like shit, but the point stood.) That was someone she'd been doing the best job in the world of avoiding. And he was right there.
So what the hell did she say to him? She couldn't very well just stand there shocked into silence. Could she? It was doing a good job so far.

His thoughts stopped as he felt the presence of being watched. Slowly, he turned his head from side to side, eyes flickering from one point to another as he searched for where they could before he caught sight of who it was. His own body locked in surprised silence. It just wasn't his day when the second woman he needed to talk to decided to appear out of nowhere.
He just continued to stare at her, no longer looking at her with those painful eyes but instead his normal sad ones. He stole wore the white shirt he had on the night everything went to hell, still just as fresh as it was before. Living around doctors gave you some benefits on how to get crab blood out of your clothes.

Shit. Again.
If he were angry at her, this would be a lot easier. She could do angry. She could handle angry. She couldn't handle the eyes of someone she had hurt more than she ever wanted to. More than she ever meant to. And what those eyes meant.
Just keep yourself together and say something, you retard. Don't let something like this stop you from doing... something. Whatever there was to be done.
"I'm sorry, Hamel."
Because that had worked so well in the past.

He stared at Riza for moment, wondering how he should really approach this. Should he still be angry with her? There was still contempt deep down in his belly, but it had mostly burned away over time.
Finally, he just lifted his hands and shoulders in brief shrug. Who cared if she knew, really. What was done was done and there was nothing he could do about it.
