Lily's legs waved back and forth as she had another look around the library. This place was new to her just as the kitchen had been, though it had a distinctly different smell. It must have been the books...

Inwardly, she wished the fudge still smelled as strong as it had when they had first finished cooking it. Since it had cooled it seemed to lose that, which was disappointing, but it still looked delicious to her. Hopefully they'd get lots of people in to enjoy it all.

"We should try cooking again sometime," she said conversationally to Fletcher. "That was fun."

Fletcher smiled over to her and nodded. "I'd really like to! I like cooking a lot, I don't get to make anything really complicated very often though..."

A thought came to him. "Is Haine coming by?"

Kang had actually forgotten about the mention of fudge in the digest, whatever it was. He wanted to return the book that he'd borrowed, though, and see if he could find any others that might interest him, so he ended up heading for the library that day, as one of a few stops he needed to make.

Upon entering the lobby, he spotted Fletcher and a young girl that looked to be about the same age, and the platter in front of them, and walked over to take a closer look, "What's this?"

"He said he was going t --"

Unfortunately, that was as far as she got. It was then that a very large, monstrous... thing had entered, and the poor girl went dead silent for several seconds.

Then she shrieked and nearly fell off her chair as she jumped and back up, looking absolutely terrified.

Iris had seen Fletcher's invitation, and since she was still in a very happy mood from her present on Valentine's Day, she decided to come by. The bright red ribbon attached to the chocolate was tied in a bow at the place her braids came together in the back.

She entered the library with a smile on her face. It turned from simple happiness to the kind of smile someone wore when they saw a close friend for the first time in a while. "Fletcher! I see you're doing much better than when I saw you last. Who's your friend?" She looked kindly on Lily, and while it didn't show on her face, those bandages around the girl's neck didn't escape her notice.

Fletcher grinned up at Iris, glad to see her come in. After all, if she hadn't invited him to cook with her back at the Strand, he might not have had the confidence to help Lily with this project.

"Hello, Iris!" He nodded to her. "This is Lily. We worked together to make this fudge."

Lily couldn't help staring a little at the woman who had walked in. She was pretty - really pretty. And she seemed nice, too.

"Nice to meet you," she said cheerfully, waving and giving a nod at Fletcher's words. "Uh huh! We want to give it out to as many people as possible, so that they'll be happier."

Upon introduction, Iris bowed slightly. "It's very nice to meet you, Lily." She smiled kindly on them, her eyes going over the trays nearby. "They look great!" She leaned down and sniffed at them. "And they smell even better."

"Today can make a lot of people upset, so it's great that you two are doing this. May I?" She pulled off her gloves and reached toward the pan.

Haine had been a bit confused when Lily had asked him to come to the library. There had been an air of suspicion around her doings lately, and he vaguely wondered what she could have been up to.
"Nothing too horrible," he thought, walking in the front door.

She was there with Fletcher, Russel standing nearby, keeping watch. He was thankful for that, even if he said nothing.

"Hello, Lily," he greeted, walking over.

"Haine...!"

Lily was already racing around the counter and latching onto her older brother, giving him a tight hug. With him here she was already feeling better after that scare with Kang. "Happy Valentine's Day!"

Fletcher smiled when Lily called her brother's name; he didn't know Haine, but he instinctively had respect for her older brother just because of how she talked about him. He suspected they were about as close as he and Russel were to each other.

He didn't say anything just yet; obviously she needed a moment with Haine after what had happened earlier.

Lily had nearly knocked him over then. He chuckled lightly as he caught her hug.

"Valentine's huh?"

Lots of people had been going to the one building today. Chii, being the curious type that she was, swiftly darted in the door when someone walked in.

There were lots of books! Chii couldn't read, and she could hear people anyway, and smell something interesting! She saw some people by a desk. That's where the good smell was coming from!

"Mya!" she meowed, and ran for it, leaping into the air to land atop the desk....and smacking into the dead center of the desk.

Hearing the meow and the subsequent thud, Fletcher gasped and stood up to look over the desk. "O-oh... are you okay?"

Chii slid down the wooden desk slowly.

"Myuuuuu" she cried, sporting a reddened nose for her trouble. "Chii's nose hurts!!!"

Blinking, she mimicked Fletcher and leaned over, confused at the unfamiliar noise.

And thus, saw her first cat ever. It was adorable.

"...!! You're --" she paused, having to think of the best word to describe the little kitten.

"You're so cute~!"
