I demand biting. <3 bark_n_bite April 7 2009, 03:46:15 UTC
Haine was on his way home, having picked up some supplies, mostly toiletries, those were getting harder to come by, but weren't rationed yet.

He saw the guy just staring at the people picking up their various needs.

"Oi, you must be new." he said, as he got closer.

"Hm...?"

An albino? Well, there were those sayings about New York.... And if this one was speaking to him he wouldn't have to bother with the effort of Eye Raid. Handy.~

So he shrugged, looking only mildly interested. "You must know what's going on, I suppose."

"Kind of. There's a pair of giant mutated monsters, one's got scores of parasites carrying some kind of infection in their bite," he replied nonchalantly, as if this were an everyday matter.

"Nearly everyone here isn't from this city either. We've all seemed to have woken up here somehow."

:\ Still not a woman. bloodignites April 7 2009, 04:55:27 UTC
That explanation sounded entirely unbelievable. Would sound unbelievable, if Zelman wasn't already familiar with a certain parasitic bloodline whose bite was more nightmarish than just infectious. He still felt rather reluctant to take it as the entire truth, but went along with it despite the waste of time.

Because that latter part sounded more interesting. His own experience certainly attested to its truth.

"What are we doing here, then? And what happened to the populace that's supposed to live here?"

Brandishing an umbrella as her new weapon to fight off the crabs, Miwako was skipping to Madison Square Garden in her platform shoes and ruffly dress. It was her intention to take clothing orders from the people working the supply center and clinic, as a thank you for her weekly rations. (Something she was also intending to pick up.) She didn't really see the need to bother the others to escort her there, since she was positive she wouldn't run into any trouble.

But she stopped in her tracks as her eyes fell on a boy not too far ahead. A huge smile on her face, she approached him with a wave. "Hi~!"

Though he fully expected that cute-sounding voice was speaking to someone else, Zelman glanced back anyways.

Oho~

This was much better.~ And even more interesting, it was clear she was speaking to him despite the fact that he had never once seen her before. Not that that mattered much to him, as he raised a hand in greeting. "Yo~ are you another outsider, or a resident of Manhattan?"

Miwako smiled... He seemed nice. And new. Was he lost? She held her umbrella tightly and scratched her cheek thoughtfully. "Ah... I guess I'm an 'outsider'... I'm from Japan. So... I'm not as big an outsider as some people are here, I guess..." she trailed off.

She glanced back up at him. "Ah! Are you new here?"

"Indeed I am," he practically purred back, giving the girl a charming smile. She was cute, had no holy feel to her, and was most definitely human. "Ironically, the last place I was in was Japan as well.~"
