Brandishing an umbrella as her new weapon to fight off the crabs, Miwako was skipping to Madison Square Garden in her platform shoes and ruffly dress. It was her intention to take clothing orders from the people working the supply center and clinic, as a thank you for her weekly rations. (Something she was also intending to pick up.) She didn't really see the need to bother the others to escort her there, since she was positive she wouldn't run into any trouble.

But she stopped in her tracks as her eyes fell on a boy not too far ahead. A huge smile on her face, she approached him with a wave. "Hi~!"

Though he fully expected that cute-sounding voice was speaking to someone else, Zelman glanced back anyways.

Oho~

This was much better.~ And even more interesting, it was clear she was speaking to him despite the fact that he had never once seen her before. Not that that mattered much to him, as he raised a hand in greeting. "Yo~ are you another outsider, or a resident of Manhattan?"

Miwako smiled... He seemed nice. And new. Was he lost? She held her umbrella tightly and scratched her cheek thoughtfully. "Ah... I guess I'm an 'outsider'... I'm from Japan. So... I'm not as big an outsider as some people are here, I guess..." she trailed off.

She glanced back up at him. "Ah! Are you new here?"

"Indeed I am," he practically purred back, giving the girl a charming smile. She was cute, had no holy feel to her, and was most definitely human. "Ironically, the last place I was in was Japan as well.~"

Miwako blushed as he smiled at her. "Really?" She shouldn't have been so surprised... there were plenty of Japanese here... "Ah.. I'm Miwako! It's nice to meet you! Are... are you lost? Can I help you with anything?"

She just couldn't stop blushing and was having a hard time with her train of thought... As though she were still unsure, she smiled again and tilted her head.

His blood red eyes caught that blush easily, and he held back a chuckle. Honestly... this was going to be easy, if her expression was any indication (and with young girls, it normally was). "As a matter of fact, you can. I've never been in here before. It's being used as a base to hand out supplies, correct?"

Miwako nodded her head. "Yeah! A lot of people were staying here after this big monster plowed down their homes for a second time... So... this became like the new supply center. They hand out the weekly food rations here... And a lot of people come here for basic clinical things and stuff like that."

Looking around the lobby briefly, he replied, "That's useful. I don't know where anything is, though. You wouldn't mind giving me a small tour, would you?"

Miwako also glanced around the lobby, it was pretty quiet around here tonight... But she didn't think it'd be a problem. "Ah sure! You mean around here, or the city?"

"Just this building. I'll be able to find my way around the city from memory," he replied, casually stepping closer.

Miwako felt her ears burn as he stepped closer. "O-okay! Miwako can do that... Especially since I'm not really supposed to be out by myself... so... staying inside helps."

She really shouldn't have walked all the way over here by herself... but that was beside the point. "So... basically, it's a big stadium..." she explained. Truth was, she didn't know much about the place, even though she'd lived there for a while after her apartment was destroyed. "I can show you where the supply center and clinic are in here, if you'd like? I.. don't know what you want to see..."

He nodded, lips tilting in amusement. While it was true he didn't know the layout of Madison Square Garden that well, having never bothered to visit the place before, that was practically the last thing on his mind. "The supply center sounds good. I could go for a can of Coke, if they've got it."

Miwako gave him a big smile and nodded her head. "Yeah, I can show you... I'm sure they do!"

Without a second thought, she grabbed his hand and began to lead him through the halls to the middle of the stadium. "All of these halls wrap around the middle, basically... And in the middle, that's where they set up the supply center and clinic and everything else. I lived here for a little bit after my apartment was destroyed... So... I at least know that much about it."

Zelman blinked when she grabbed his hand, but let her drag him around the place, staying close and occasionally sizing up the other people they passed. It certainly wasn't busy, which was advantageous to him.

"- You lived here?" That comment drew his attention back to the girl and he raised his eyebrows. "It must have been uncomfortable."

As they entered the actual stadium, she paused and glanced around. Throwing him a smile, she shrugged her shoulders. "It was a little uncomfortable... But I was so busy making things for people, I hardly noticed... See, I have a little stand set up aaaaaaaaallll the way over there..."

She pointed to a secluded corner with her umbrella. A sewing machine, some dress forms and a table were all that occupied it. "But I admit... I'm much more comfortable in my new apartment than I was here..."

She squeezed his hand slightly and grinned back up at him. "Here, the supplies are over here... we can get you the soda you wanted!"

He followed where she was pointing and nodded, inwardly making a mental note that the area certainly was out of the way....

"Maa... I can see why anyone would be," Zelman replied lightly, mildly amused that people would even think about camping out here when there was likely more than enough abandoned apartments around. Possibly for the security of being around other people, but he personally found that idea ridiculous.

Coke, however, was exactly what he wanted to hear. Chuckling as they headed towards the supply area. "Sure~ Would they have cigarettes, too?"
