After hearing about Sora's bad bout of...well...Negi hadn't quite gotten the full story but he did know a hurt friend when he saw one. He wanted to make sure his friend was okay in a more personal manner than the journals, which had brought him forth to the Bryant Park Hotel. Plus, you never knew if perhaps the people here had heard anything about Tinkerbell's missing friend, Thomas.

He paused when he was near the place, noticing the older woman swinging at thin air with a metal rod, Strange, he thought and decided to wander over. His own staff was on his back as usual and while he wasn't as adept at staff fighting he could improvise fairly well, "Uhm, excuse me, but what are you doing?" His tone was genuinely curious and relatively innocent.

Mitsuki had seen the boy approaching, but hadn't bothered to stop swinging the rod. It wasn't until he'd spoken that she paused. Gray eyes sliding over to him, she regained her composure and tucked her hair behind her ear. Taking a deep breath, she smoothed out her shirt. "I was practicing with this weapon..." she answered simply.

"One could say I'm not the best fighter around.... I'm looking to improve this."

"Oh," he responded, her weapon wasn't much but then again most people used rather unconventional tools here. "You...want to learn how to fight," he asked, wondering why this woman was just standing outside of the building. Why hadn't she posted something to the network? "Well, I'm still in training myself so I don't know how much use I could be...I'm still trying to improve myself as well," he replied, he wanted to help and maybe he could since this woman wanted to learn the basics and he had mastered those at least.

It was hard to pass up an opportunity to teach though. Still, he didn't want to see this woman putting herself in danger just because she might learn a few moves. "Are you sure this is wise though? I mean, the crabs aren't exactly expert fighters and most people can fend them off pretty easily just by swinging wildly."

Mitsuki would never openly admit over the network that she needed help in such a matter... She'd never even admit it to the boy standing in front of her. One hand resting on her hip and the other gripping the rod firmly, she raised her eyebrow at him. "If you haven't noticed, it appears that sometimes the crabs are the least of our worries. This city isn't populated purely by do-gooders."

She sighed and refrained from rolling her eyes. If he was going to interrupt her, he should've had a damn good reason. "Don't get me wrong, I have my skills..." she trailed off, melting into the shadows before reappearing on the other side of him. "But they only get me so far. Especially in a dimension like this that weakens us."

Evey had been walking down the street, heading back towards the Museum when she had noticed the woman practicing in front of the hotel. Watching her for a second, she observed that the woman was possibly trying to get a feel for the weapon. She remembered being like that while she had been with V, trying to get a feel for the knives she had been supplied and had to learn how to use.

"Learning a new weapon?" She asked, stepping forward, hands in pockets, looking at her. "If you want to learn another, I can teach you some."

Getting a feel for the weapon was far more difficult than the Reaper had thought. She was taking a break when she noticed the girl that stepped forward. This girl knew how to fight? Raising an eyebrow at the woman, she offered the slightest of smiles. "Ah, yes... In a place like this, it's nice to know a way to protect yourself."

She tilted her head slightly, lowering her hand that held the rod. "I must admit I'm curious... What weapon could you offer to teach me?"

"These." She said, lifting her hand and showing two stilettos in between her fingers. "Also, this." She moved her coat aside to show the machette strapped to her side. "I know more than it seems about this." Smiling at her, Evey shrugged.

"Everything else I know, I can't tell you."
