Wolf really shouldn't have been out around now, but he was full of so much boundless energy around the full moon that he didn't care one bit. Monsters both big and small could go crawl into their little holes and die for all he cared. He wanted to bound around the whole city, run through the streets and revel in all this terrible energy this time of month left him with (even if it also left him with awful cramps.) He knew that eventually Harry would try and drag him back home and he'd have to suffer through a sleepless night of pain and incoherency. But until then...

He stopped his wild darting through the streets for a bit of a breather, feeling the moon on the sky even though it wasn't quite evening yet. It was then that he realized that he was by a library...well, if he went in and found some more self-help books, he could always make that excuse for being out on this day. Finding books. Yes. That would fly, wouldn't it?

Shaking stray snow and slush off his jacket and shoes, he stepped inside the library, growling to himself. ( ... )

Velvet was already far into the library, trying to understand the rather bizarre classification for the books. So many different subjects, some she had never even heard of, yet she couldn't find what she was looking for: prophecies. Great men and beasts had once gazed into the future and seen what needed to be seen, and this world should be no exception.

Gazing back and forth across the shelves and lost in concentration, she barely heard the man's voice. She wasn't sure if someone else was there, but in the end, this was a library, it wasn't as if she was the only one allowed in.

Finding no reason to call back, she went back to her search, ignoring the voice.

Wolf might have wandered off again without an answer, but now he was overcome with curiosity. That, and he was on the high end of one of his monthly mood swings...overly friendly and socialable, rather than sullen and violent. Besides, this was an interesting scent, and he wanted to follow it.

He tromped up the stairs in search of the source of it, glancing back and forth every step of the way. He was supposed to be here for books, right? Those could wait until later. "Awwwwr, come on come on, don't be shy!"

Velvet looked up from the book she found, annoyed at being disturbed during her research. "Who is there?" she called rather bluntly, her voice filled with authority. She wasn't here to chat after all, not that she regularly did that in the first place.

She almost drew her chains out before realizing that there was no danger... yet. She was in another world and no one from Erion was here. She hadn't made enemies here, in fact, her acquaintances were rare even here. There was no need to be on guard, it was just someone who never heard of being quiet in a library.
