After the week Renji had had he was ready to get out of the Mansfield as much as possible and just go kill things. The crabs were always in fresh supply somewhere and it gave him an excuse to break in the sword Minako had given to him for Christmas.

He hadn't named it yet...though his conversations with Zabimaru made him reluctant to give the sword a name.

Renji had heard some commotion a few blocks over and was running to investigate, sword already drawn. He saw the carnage when he turned the corner and the battle-scarred man standing amidst it. Renji blinked, he'd done a lot of damage and he looked like he was ready to fall over, "Oi! You okay?" Renji jumped over one of the crab bodies to make his way over to him. He noticed the stop sign in the man's hand...damn had he done all that with a pole? This guy was good.

Kida'd seen better days, though she hoped to see brighter ones shortly. After spending some rather painful months exploring the city's subterranean areas as well as locating where she came in, Kida came back unsuccessful and a few pounds lighter.

That being said, her efforts had not been completely in vain. She found it possible, though difficult, to survive by actually eating the parasites, though the taste was difficult to stomach. Their shells, however, did make a decent light armor, which she held together with sinews from the creatures. Though crude, it was manageable ( ... )

Haine had seen the guy before the crabs attacked, and probably would have helped him, but apparently the guy needed no help.

He only stepped forward once the red head came running over.

"There'll probably be more," he said, kicking a dead crab aside. "It'd be best to get out of here."

Voices! Jack's eyes shot up in a furrow glare at the new comers to the scene. He couldn't make out the shapes of their bodies, but he knew bounty hunters Aku had sent after dealing with his new monsters.

Even if the world seemed to grow heavier with each moment, Jack wasn't about to surrender to Aku's minions! Of course, the minute he tried to lower himself to make a leaping strike, he couldn't stop himself from falling.
