What trickery was Aku up to this time? )
He hadn't named it yet...though his conversations with Zabimaru made him reluctant to give the sword a name.
Renji had heard some commotion a few blocks over and was running to investigate, sword already drawn. He saw the carnage when he turned the corner and the battle-scarred man standing amidst it. Renji blinked, he'd done a lot of damage and he looked like he was ready to fall over, "Oi! You okay?" Renji jumped over one of the crab bodies to make his way over to him. He noticed the stop sign in the man's hand...damn had he done all that with a pole? This guy was good.

That being said, her efforts had not been completely in vain. She found it possible, though difficult, to survive by actually eating the parasites, though the taste was difficult to stomach. Their shells, however, did make a decent light armor, which she held together with sinews from the creatures. Though crude, it was manageable ( ... )

He only stepped forward once the red head came running over.
"There'll probably be more," he said, kicking a dead crab aside. "It'd be best to get out of here."

Even if the world seemed to grow heavier with each moment, Jack wasn't about to surrender to Aku's minions! Of course, the minute he tried to lower himself to make a leaping strike, he couldn't stop himself from falling.

Renji noticed the injured man move to strike but he only managed to fall over, Renji frowned, did he think they were crabs or something? Man, this guy was out of it.
He looked over to the woman, sheathing his sword for the moment, "Not sure, looks like he got pulled into some heavy crab fighting by himself."

"If you need to move him, then you two do it. I'm able to take out those crab things from a pretty good distance, so I'll keep you covered." he said, drawing his guns to the ready.

His clothes weren't in much better shape. The once white sash he wore had kept the lower half of his gi from falling, but what was less of the remaining robe was in tatters.

He snorted when the other man didn't offer to help...then again he had a point about someone needing to be able to fend off crabs when they started arriving. "Alright," Renji looked back to the woman and the unconscious guy, "where are we movin' him too?"

The queen's curious look at the white-haired man turned to one of slight annoyance. "Very well, do what you wish."
Deeming him able to be moved, despite his injuries, Kida lifted the samurai's torso, ready to lift if the swordsman could lend his strength. At least with two people it would be much easier to safely move him. "Anyplace that is free of the parasites. Are any of the nearby buildings safe?"

"This way," he called, motioning to the pair. "There's a couch you can lay him on."

When they got inside he put the man on the couch, turning his attention to the man still at the door, he fingered the sword at his side, "Any sign of more of the crabs, yet?"

As soon as she got the man on the couch, she dropped her spear and went for the nearby kitchen. Though food was long gone, she found the kitchen was not without supplies. Kida grabbed a large mixing bowl and tossed it into the sink, turning the faucet on hot. Scrounging through the drawers she found a few sets of kitchen towels.
She returned quickly to the warrior's side, wiping away the grime, ikor and blood from his wounds with the hot towels.
"If any more appear, it would be unwise to try to move him again. I cannot determine if there is any internal bleeding."
If there was, Kida knew there would be a serious problem. Though crystals could heal internal wounds, they were difficult. And given what she'd learned about what this place did to her crystal, doing so would likely cause her to pass out.

"How bad is it?" he asked, eyeing Kida's progress.

"We'll keep them away from you and him at least...if they do show," he told the woman.

When the white-haired man asked about the newcomer's health, Kida raised an eyebrow slightly at him, looking ever so slightly surprised. It was the first time he seemed to show concern. She looked back to her patient with narrowed eyes, concentrating on her work and pressing a towel against a slowly-bleeding wound. "He has lost a lot of blood. Thankfully the wounds have basically clotted themselves, though I pray there are no internal injuries. If his body can survive the shock and he truly has the spirit of a warrior, then he will survive."
