Busted legs be damned. One was only sprained, and the other...well, Edward didn't really want to think about the other. The sprained one had been getting better, but there was no getting better for his automail leg; as far as he could tell, there were no automail mechanics in this world. If he couldn't get it fixed, he'd need to learn to live with it.
Hobbling around was actually more painful for the automail leg than his natural leg. He could feel that the steps he took weren't right, and the movement was chafing at the stump. Trying to ignore it, he walked through Bryant Park behind the library, trying to focus on the greenery instead of his pain.
Catching sight of a silver-haired stranger wandering through the park, Ed halted in his tracks. "You need help?" he called cautiously.
At the sound of a voice Repliku turned sharply to face whoever it was. His gaze landing on some blond-haired guy he'd never seen before. The replica was on his guard but the question seemed innocent enough. "Not really," he shrugged. After being in Castle Oblivion for a while with only the same people it felt weird meeting strangers. This world was full of them, he realized. Most coming from different worlds themselves. That probably made for an interesting cast.
Speaking of interesting, it seemed someone else was approaching. He'd leave the two together and wander off but it seemed the rather odd woman was talking to him. "Hi," he replied warily.
Edward glanced over at the woman who had appeared. With their similarly colored hair the two strangers could have been related, if not for their different skin tones. Limping slowly and noticably, he carefully drew a little closer to the two, wanting to know what their business here was. It was unnerving being both unable to use alchemy and barely able to walk, and with his younger brother somewhere nearby.
