I totally agree about the ending sequence being totally lacking, I'd spent the whole of my first play through thinking "God I wonder what the consequences of Dave winning the Election were" or "What did my Wasteland Survival Guide achieve since it was so intellectual"
Turned out that it had sod all to do with how the game ended which is disapointing, given how seamlessly they meshed everything else together in the ending sequence.
Playing through again as an evil character this time and gonna explore more before picking up the main plot (though cheating slightly this time as well to get Power Armour early on as I decided to blow up the BRotherhood of Steel in the library)
