Reflections on Another Crafty Christmas

Christmas Eve is here amazingly. For the second year in a row, I've successfully managed to finish my knit gift list, although this year was under different circumstances. Last year I made items for just about every person for whom I bought a gift. This year, I made very little. Am I sad about this? Not really. Do I wish I'd done more? Sure, it ( Read more... )

My tired feet think those socks look so cozy right now!

The handtowel looks so detailed I thought for a moment it was a blanket. Ah *sigh* and I shouldn't get on how cute that sweater is and how it makes me feel like a slacker....

Really pretty stuff.

Oh yes, I can tell you from experience that nothing beats a pair of hand-made socks. The ones above are house socks, so they're thicker than the usual fingering yarn type; very comfy in my opinion.

Aw thank you. I've always thought the pattern would make a lovely baby blanket. Perhaps this year it will happen - my mom's friend told me that she would love for me to make items for their craft fair/auction next fall. How cool is that?

Now don't feel like a slacker. I feel so much like a slacker for my lack of home made presents. Goodness, I feel like a slacker any time I read others' blogs. It seems so many of them know how to do a variety of crafts, while all I do is knitting. lol

Thank you so much for the compliments and as always the wonderful feedback. It's been so great getting to know you this year. :)
