Old Man Winter is fighting a strong rearguard action, and last night he committed his reserves.

I had a sudden craving for a steak at about 9pm, and decided to walk down the street to Loblaw's.

Ended up walking in Princess Street (Kingston's main artery) as the sidewalks weren't plowed; this worked because most people were sensible enough not to be ( Read more... )

Well, I now know how you answered at least one question in that recent Winnie-The-Pooh quiz...

It's been ages since I last visited Kingston, really since I last attended Queens ~1986. There used to be some pretty good used bookstores on Princess Street; are they still there?

Wayfarer is still there, and there are a couple of warehouse-style secondhand bookshops. Berry and Peterson's is still on King Street.
