Various doctor visits last week.

The biopsies found no trace of disease in my small intestine, as far up as they could go. This is good news. The small one's all I have left.

However, they confirm there's inflammation in my duodenum. If my meds don't keep this under control, the resulting constriction stops me from eating.

I am now on Non-Toxic ( Read more... )

1) All the best with your many chronic medical issues. I've never prescribed Remicade to any of my patients for RA or UC or PsA, but I've been tempted to try it for some of my Dementia ones who have declined no matter what has been tried.

2) The mention of Wol in that book image you posted suddenly reminded me of book I read long ago called "Owls in the Family" by Farley Mowat; the owl the young boy rescues is named Wol.

Sorry about the bogglement on the meds front, although at least it sounds like your consultant is thinking which does not always happen. Hope you don't have to face the Meds that Mean Business soon, or indeed at all.

Beware the vengeance of Wol for it is swift and usually involves me being chained to the sink to do my fair share of the washing up.

Good news, if complicated, on the medicine front. I'm glad the consultant is taking more than a cursory interest in your case, and it's also nice that he's keeping your GP informed. There;s sometimes a snobbish disconnect between specialist and GPs.

Hope it all works out well without resort to the We're Not Kidding meds.
