I get very easily distracted by music while studying, so I generally need to keep it pretty low-key and repetitive (or very, very quiet). Recently I've used the album "Untrue" by Burial and various works by Philip Glass.

!!!!!

Yes? Maybe? I... I think so? Anyway I keep it rather quiet.

This is more when I'm coding or writing, by the way---not so much reading. I can't really listen to anything while I'm reading without getting distracted.

I may be crazy, but my memory of Untrue is as it being a pretty mellow album...

Massive Attack, the Fight Club soundtrack, Aphex Twin's ambient, and this excellent duo called Willie & Lobo which I stole from my dad and no nothing about except that their music is sweet. Some mellower Shooglenifty. Basically anything that's light on the lyrics and not so melodically complicated that it distracts me.

Have definitely done Fight Club soundtrack before (I love that thing unreasonably), but I think I may have to break out the Massive Attack since I haven't listened to that in ages.

I still haven't completed the "stealing shit from McG" that would result in my having any Shooglenifty. I'm not sure how I've managed to avoid that this long.
