The bird flu has more chance of turning you into a bird than it does to kill you.

but! but! but I don't WANT to be turned into a bird!!!! (well, except for the whole flying thing...I could deal with that...but still) I am going panic and get my feathers all ruffled, and squawk madly about how we're all going to be turned into birds, and, and, dammit! See? It already got me!

I SERIOUSLY need to cut back on the caffeine. Seriously.

Last couple of years, it was West Nile Virus that had people seeking all sorts of idiotic ways to kill the dread mosquito scourge. Nevermind the simple fact that WNV is an avian-specific disease that happens to kill a few immunocompromised babies and old people; THE DREAD MOSQUITO SCOURGE IS UPON US!

Now we need something to kill those pesky birds. I recommend electified bird baths.

The big problem with the avian flu is that it's eradicating chickens -- expect your McNuggets to get a lot more pricey soon.
