Is it just me or will anyone else find it ironic if the Bird flu finally becomes human to human transmittable because of its time in the country of Turkey?

Oh, and just for reference. I'm not at all concerned about the bird flu. I find the media's attempts at hyping up the DANGER (spooky spooky) to be more amusing than anything else.

So it seems that two more people in Turkey have died as a result of catching the bird flu.

It also seems that they didn't catch it from eating an infected chicken. The latest theory is that they contracted the disease by playing with infected, dead, chickens.

Someone explain to me why there is such a panic about the bird flu all of a sudden?  Have there been any cases in the past few months or in the past year of the bird flu jumping species again and infecting humans?  I know it did at one point, but was that recent?
