"Stealth literature," I do not know that phrase. Is it a bit like candy-flavored mathematics?

In any case, I agree that his knighthood is well-deserved. Really, if Elton John got it, Pratchett is years overdue.

I was first introduced to him by a friend who thrust _Reaper Man_ at me. At the time, I declared it the best book I'd ever read. If you can believe it, I even had a reasonably intimate moment with a woman in college that involved a reference to that book. She had rather coarse, short, blond hair, and while leaning together and quietly running my fingers through it, I described the ending of Reaper Man and mentioned how her hair reminded me of the blowing fields of wheat. SUPER SEXY, I know. Eh, it was sincere and worked at the time ( ... )
