If you're trying to change in order for him to love you, he's going to see right through that. You are who you are, Kayla. If he doesn't love the person you've developed into over the last 3 years, changing overnight isn't going to change his opinion. Not only that, but you'd end up making yourself miserable because you wouldn't be staying true to yourself.
I have not spoken to him about any of this, nor you, and I don't know either of your opinions. I simply know you have broken up, and concluding from your post, that's my thoughts. Take it as you will, but I'm not trying to defend you or him. It's the simple truth with any relationship. Just think it through, and don't make this hard on him by saying "I miss you so much, I'll change, etc." More than likely that would drive him away quicker, than, say, you just accepting it, and trying to stay close friends.
