Inspiration

I don't know where it comes from but when it hits me......it's like Niagara Falls. If you've never been to Niagara, you'll miss my point. Okay, I'll try the Grand Canyon. Inspiration can hit you like the Grand Canyon. Damn. Maybe you haven't seen the canyon. It's unfuckingunbelievable. I wanted to weep, but thankfully I kept it together and took ( Read more... )

I enjoyed reading this and I'm so glad that every once in a while we are granted a totally awesome day. And yes, I think many times in your writing that I go "wow".

I think we sometimes take the awesome days for granted.

I'm guilty of griping in my blog about the trials of life without balancing the darkness with the better days.

Wow? Hmmm. I wonder what that means. Maybe it's...."Wow, now I know where James got the crazy gene."

This ia great and fun read, especially because you're happy. I'm interested in everthing 'behind' most of what you wrote, including Budman and the black leather placemats. I was trying to figure out if I could see any clues as to when or why your perceptions shifted a bit to the lighter side of life. You're very strong, you continue to take care of yourself, you left work early, you went to a different music store, it's usually rewarding to break a pattern...you engaged with a stranger, you held Cheryl's hand, I don't know.

The sun has been out for 2 days in a row, gorgeous perfect bay area weather for 2 days after the gloomiest few weeks, and you can feel the moods lifting and soaring a little bit higher. I'm happy for you for your day. Hang in.

My every day perceptions are not as dark as some of my posts would suggest. At work, I'm the class clown, even when I'm serious about getting the job done.

In writing, blogs or emails, it's hard to 'set the tone' of your voice. So, if I'm writing about James and how tough life at home is, you're going to read a negative tone. That's not always my intent. Some posts have a 'WTF' smartass attitude.

Unless I preface my post with a tone setting comment, it's easy for someone to read dark humor as depression. This is a writing issue I've struggled with because I have a cynical, sometimes sarcastic sense of humor.

It's easy to be misunderstood.

Um.

Yeah.

I wanna know about all the leather accessories. Not just placemats. Although in my mind's eye, I can totally see you buying them. . .

So dish already.

I have my eyes on some red leather place mats but they only had three in the store.

I like the leather because they're easy to clean. They're sexy and practical at the same time.

Hey Babe,

Should I be the one to tell them about the black leather accessories? Or should we make them all use their own imagination? Bwahahaha....

Red leather...yeah, now we're talking. Matches my beret...
