i know that i haven't posted too much knitting recently, apart from the blanket that i recently finished. there's one pattern i can't share because i want to submit, and a whole slew of things i've almost finished and then cast aside. i'm working on the details (embroidery, duplicate stitch, and other stuff that's more fiddly than the actual ( Read more... )

Wow, this sweater is amazing. I love the back too! You don't look goofy and I adore your hair up in those cute buns!

thanks! i always feel like such a spaz when looking in a mirror or faced with a camera.

i wear my hair that way often (not really for work, but for play), and when i take it down at night, i have some nice curls going as a result.

the pattern is rather simple and is worked with a bulky yarn, so it goes fairly quickly. you can make one too!

What a cute little cardigan -- I've been thinking of making one for myself, but I always get a little leery about cropped cardies. It looks great on you, though!

thanks! i always notice patterns that have not-top-heavy models, so i figured this would work with my body type. i do think dropped tops can look ... urm... interesting on more endowed women than me.

it's a really cute pattern, though, so i recommend it!

That is so nice! I love how the pieces fit together -- the varied directionality. Man, you are such an expert.

thanks! the expert is the person who came up with the design elements in the pattern - i just followed a pattern to get my result. i agree that it's nice, but it's a simple enough construction: knit in one piece from sleeve to sleeve, and then stitches are picked up to create the front/back, which accounts for the varied directionality.

i'm sure it's something you could accomplish without too much trouble.

I am horrible at reading even crochet patterns. I'm impressed!

i was always confused when i tried to read crochet patterns, but i like knit patterns: they're like a geeky code.
