You could always buy the tickets now, and then when the weekend comes around if the weather is AMAZING CAMPING WEATHER, try to sell them.

i have reverse logic. i decided to not buy the tickets, but if the weather is rainy that weekend, we can go to the venue and try to find some from people in the parking lot.

The weather WOULD help, but who can know that?

I think lots of people read without friending. I do it a bit and sometimes comment, which might seem random to other people.

the show went on sale and i checked to see if only poor seats were available, helping me rationalize not getting tix. but the seats available were pretty good. and i neglected to buy them. oh well ;)

one person i stealth-read always IMs me and sends me links to his LJ. i deliberately want to remain LJ-anonymous with him, so i refrain from even telling him i have one myself. everyone else would not be too surprised or shocked, and i could friend them if i really wanted. i;m just socially lazy.

Well, I don't know what the band is, but if they're playing in a stadium they must be pretty popular. Why not buy the tickets and hold on to them... when the time comes, if it looks like it'll be a beautiful weekend, scalp them on ebay or something.

Course, I've never scalped tickets and I don't know how much you care about money, so I'm not sure about the logistics of this suggestion, but there you are.

And I also stealth-read peoples' journals... my ex-girlfriends', actually. 2 of them. Not so much creepy, just idle curiosity as to what they're up to these days.

Oh, and I see my suggestion was already suggested. I really should be paying more attention...

no problem ... it's a good idea, but the fault is this: the only way i'd really sell tickets is live, in person, in the parking lot before the show. but if i want to go camping, i won't wanna go to the show's parking lot. hence, i've decided to use reverse logic. if, when the time comes, we wanna go see the show, we'll look for tickets at the venue. thanks for weighing in!
