texas visit

i flew with nathaniel recently to visit friends and family in texas. a good time was had by all.

my sister's cat, olive ("ovive") was such a good sport with him. she endured countless repeats of "cat....hug"

Hair envy! Seeing these pictures make me miss River's longer hair. Nathaniel is, as always, adorable!

thank you. river is always so cute, too, and i was almost inspired to trim nathaniel's hair when i saw that you managed to do it tastefully. i am too scared of going too far, though, but i now have to resort to pomade and hats and hairbands sometimes, but mostly he pulls everything out of his hair. i picked him up from daycare yesterday and they had an almost pebbles-like ponytail on his bangs.

I honestly wouldn't cut it. River has my hair and it's just so nappy in the back that he was looking unkempt all the time. I do miss it though. I went too far that second time I cut it and was quite miserable with it for a few days. Maybe wait until his second birthday to trim it a little bit? He has such beautiful hair.

he gets quite the tangled bedhead sometimes, but it's too cute to cut at this point, i agree. once it gets long enough to really tuck behind his ears to keep out of his eyes, i may never cut it unless he gets lice or something.
