We're werewolves, not swearwolves!

It's already the third week of January, but happy new year, etc. *g*. I don't really make resolutions, but I did think it might be nice to spend more time writing ANYTHING, and a journal entry is better than nothing. Surely once every couple of weeks isn't too much to ask ( Read more... )

I'll have to do a media post, because (gasp) I saw some current movies!

I'm going to come back and read your review of Call Me By Your Name after I've seen it. I'm curious for a mean take!

Yay! I do enjoy hearing buzz about movies - I've definitely changed my mind about seeing quite a few based on my f-list.

Well, I won't hold it against you if you love it *g*. It's a shame, I would love something new to be fannish about, but this really wasn't it.

Hi there and happy new years to you and your family! Nice to read your post. Unfortunately, I didn't watch any of the films you mentioned ( ... )

Hi, and lovely to hear from you! Hope you had a lovely Xmas and New Year.

Always interested to hear what you're watching - thanks. I did try The Young Pope, which I think you mentioned to me earlier, and Jude Law was indeed beautiful, but I didn't make it past the first episode. I think it just wasn't what I wanted to watch at the time, but maybe will give it another try in future.

I have heard about the Dracula thing! I don't know how it'll be, but will probably have to give it a try - especially if Mark is in it, LOL.

You're right - it was me who encouraged you to give a try to The Young Pope. However, as it happens, I recommended the show to a few of my real life friends, and nobody got interested. I thought maybe it was because they were male friends and Jude Law beauty and charm appeals mostly to female audience. Maybe it wasn't that, but the themes of the show. Tastes differ.

I am over-excited about Dracula, but there is no news about the project. Hope it's more to it than rumours! Can't help playing in my head on endless cast choices.

I'm rather dismayed at your verdict on "Call Me By Your Name" as I've been considering seeing it once it comes out on home release. I like the film version of "Maurice" so the James Ivory connection was an attraction. We'll see, I suppose.

Well, there's always the possibility I'm just a meanie and that you'll really love it :)

Yes, I have always loved Maurice, so the James Ivory thing was a draw for me too. But I'm afraid I didn't find the writing particularly noteworthy here - if anything, the opposite...
