It's already the third week of January, but happy new year, etc. *g*. I don't really make resolutions, but I did think it might be nice to spend more time writing ANYTHING, and a journal entry is better than nothing. Surely once every couple of weeks isn't too much to ask

As for me, I've been watching Knighfall by History channel and McMafia by BBC. Knightfall is a historical fiction drama which focuses on life, adventures and politics surrounding the Knights Templar in medieval France. The series focuses on Templar leader Landry du Lauzon, a brave warrior in pursuit of the Holy Grail. It’s far from historical facts but nicely made and easy to watch.
McMafia is a strong crime drama series which was inspired by the non-fiction book, McMafia: A Journey Through the Global Criminal Underworld (2008) by journalist Misha Glenny. It covers themes of money-laundering, corruption, financial fraud, drug smuggling; and at the same time it is a personal story, family story. The cast is mixed of actors of various ethnic background (even Russian). The leading character is played in a very James Bond-styled manner by James Norton as Alex Godman, the British-raised son of a Russian mafia boss. The plot is intriguing, it caught my attention from the first minutes!
By the way, have you heard that Moffat and Gatiss are working on the next project - adaptation of Dracula? It's great news! So much potential to explore!

Always interested to hear what you're watching - thanks. I did try The Young Pope, which I think you mentioned to me earlier, and Jude Law was indeed beautiful, but I didn't make it past the first episode. I think it just wasn't what I wanted to watch at the time, but maybe will give it another try in future.
I have heard about the Dracula thing! I don't know how it'll be, but will probably have to give it a try - especially if Mark is in it, LOL.

I am over-excited about Dracula, but there is no news about the project. Hope it's more to it than rumours! Can't help playing in my head on endless cast choices.
