I still remember that time I attempted to write fluffy Sherlock/John and ended up with a serialkillerAU!vid. Recently I've been struggling with something that's essentially gen and contains no smut, no kink, and barely any romance. My brain rebelled and decided this was a much better idea. I'm not sure I want to know what that says.

Thanks so much for the supportive words - it's surprisingly nerve-wracking writing het. I think Mycroft was quite pleased, though *g*

I've never read gender-swap before, and I came to this with some trepidation, but it was you so I thought I'd give it a go - what a most delightful introduction! It worked perfectly well, giving "her" all "Sherlock's" characteristics and yet being perfectly feminine, too.
Oh I can quite see why Mycroft would be besotted.
Brilliant!

I'm so glad it worked for you, and thanks for the comment! I think Sherlock ended up marginally less stubborn, or less competitive this way, which makes Mycroft's life just that little bit easier. Possibly *g*
(Also, mmm, icon.)

Amazing. This Sherlock is amazing. The post-sex thinky thoughts are *amazing*. Plus hot. It's really hot. Sherlock in high heels and Mycroft thrusting into her. Goddamn, woman.

Sherlock is, even though he (she? oh damn) is obviously very feminine still very much Sherlock, and Mycroft is so very Mycroft and well, put them in a room together and things have to happen, don't they?
It was very hot and sexy, very convincing, but what I loved most of all was the total IC-ness and the tenderness. For there should always be tenderness between these two, whatever the gender.
So, I still don't see why the delectable BC should be turned into a woman (I so very much prefer him in male form) but this surely was a treat.
Thank you!

One thing I did like was that for me fem!Sherlock is just that little bit softer and gets along better with Mycroft. I seem to have great difficulty seeing that in m/m, at least as far as writing goes!
Thank you for giving it a try, and for the very sweet comments, despite your general loathing for genderswap, lol. I appreciate it! *g*

Oh, but they did get on together perfectly well in Every breath you take and Eventide, I think. They're simply not the surfacy types.
I'll keep on loathing genderswap in general, but as long as you write it I'm afraid I'll have to keep reading it. XD

Here's my rec: It's not long at all but it packs a punch. Intelligent, sexy, twisted in the way all of the best Sherlock fics are, and mightily hot.
Oh, and Sherlock is a woman. In killer heels. And Mycroft is her brother. And they're the pairing.
