And thanks! It was fun to write, and it's helpful for getting me back in the game, if nothing else.

But now, I kind of WANT to find out a little about Veronica Mars.
I wonder where you can download it?

And I know you can find downloads of the show online if you look for them... I belong to a couple TV sharing comms and downloaded the entire third season off tv_share, and the first two were up there too. I don't know if you generally do torrents or what, but I found a Megaupload file of the pilot for you:

You know, I was actually quite disturbed by the pilot. Yes, disturbed. It was the rufie/rape scene and the way she shrugged it off so casually. I'm sure this comes back later though.
It's not at all like I expected it to be.

The rape storyline definitely comes back later, and I think it may seem like she shrugs it off here simply because it's the pilot and there's a lot of exposition to get through. Plus, she was left with literally no one to turn to about it, thanks to the way the sheriff and her friends treated her (plus, one of them is the guy who raped her); so she doesn't really know how to deal with it, and so chooses not to deal at all, at least for the time being. But it certainly had a huge effect on her, I think especially in her lack of ability to trust people and the way she alienates herself from her peers.

I love the way you handled this crossover, and I was glad I was able to pick up on a few things because my dad was always a rabid fan of the show.
“So some bully stole your lunch money on the playground,” Barney shrugged. “Get over it.”
“I was the guy who stole people’s lunch money,” Logan corrected,
I think this was probably my favorite exchange because it was both funny AND melodramatic :)
Nicely done!

I'm glad you think I handled it well... it was tricky trying to do the VM character voices since I've never done them before. And yes, I had to add just a smidge of melodrama, given the nature of the show. ;)
Thanks for reading!

Pitch perfect characterization, on both sides.
Hilarious.
True.
Almost parody-like when Logan tells his tragic life story in the McLaren's environment.
Clever, clever, clever dialogue.
“So what?” Dick shook his head. “You and her broke up six months ago, dude. V’s moved on to Piznarski, and yet somehow she’s still got you by the balls. You gotta move on. You and your feelings are harshing my mellow.”
PERFECT Dick.
“All right,” Barney said, pretending to roll up his sleeves.
Love the little details here.
He nodded at Logan. “You might want to pay special attention to that.”
LOVE. Especially because now that I think about it, Barney and Logan have a lot in common. Jerkfaces you can't help but love... who tend to cry.
“Besides, Bro Code Article 45: ‘A Bro never wears jeans to a strip club.’”
“We’re not going to a strip club tonight,” Logan pointed out.
Barney just chuckled. “Oh, my scrawny little friend. You have much to learn.”
Hands down my favorite part. Clever girl, write novels
