Disney Broadway

Am I weird because every time I listen to my Beauty and the Beast Original Broadway Cast CD, I frown with distaste? I realize that Susan Egan is too ... sarcastic for Belle, which is why she was perfect Meg. But honestly, I just really don't like the songs, except for the ones that were in the movie, No Matter What, and Human Again, but I even like ( Read more... )

Hi! i LOVED the World Above, Beyond My Wildest Dreams would have been so much bettered-recorded by Jodi Benson and I did like If Only and One Step Closer. As for BatB, I LOVED Home, No Matter What, Me and a few others. And I Loved the entire LK Broadway soundtrack and I haven't seen any of the show!

IKR? Jodi's versions of those songs would be amazing to hear. Sierra is a lovely Ariel, singing voice at least, but no one holds a candle to Jodi. And how could I forget home? I used to know that song by heart.

I've seen BatB, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid all on Broadway. I saw Mary Poppins just two months ago when the Broadway tour came down here in Atlanta and performed at the Fabulous Fox. And I'm only 18 ( ... )

That is awesome!! And I've actually been to New York only twice, haha, but it's so much fun!! Definitely try and get your parents take you! Tell them it'll be your grad present, that's how I convinced my dad to take my best friend and I to Disney World last month :)

I absolutely adore Little Mermaid Broadway music
Seen it twice (Seirra was just so awesome! Chelsea as Ariel not so much tho... couldn't hit and hold high notes to save her life)

you're right "Poor Unfortunate Souls" doesn't work
Its missing all the oomph of the animated Ursula's voice, and instead she comes off as a dried-up Morgana

BTW, if you like - I have bits of the musical video clips! So you can experience some of it yourself ^_^

Really? I wish I could've seen her! And you just said that perfectly a dried-up Morgana is definitely the right comparison.

I'd love that! I've seen some things on YouTube, but people didn't know the art of camera holding. :]

aaaaaaaack, I can't send you mesgs... you have that blocked ;_;

I guess into comment this goes then!

This is rather big (650megs), and is only Part 1 of the show
Occasionally the person did have to hide their camera (so the screen goes black), but at least it gives you a better idea of the overall play (and how amazing Seirra is on stage!)

if you like it, and are interested in more - I'll upload part 2!

Enjoy ^_^

The only thing I liked about The Little Mermaid on Broadway were the new songs. The play itself was very poorly done, and I'm not surprised it didn't last very long. You have the best of it just by owning the soundtrack.
