Normally I fly SouthWest. They have a fair fare structure, good flight attendants, good record of getting places on time, and for whatever reason I always get my bulkhead seat. And no stupid baggage fees, no "$1,000 to fly 500 miles" surprises, and stuff like that ( Read more... )

You mean something that doesn't use a random-number-generator to calculate your fare? Explain to me this outlandish foreign idea...

Beats me. For every route Southwest has 3 fares: A buy it 7 days out fare, a less than 7 day out fare, and a business preferred fare. That's it, they don't jack the price up or offer silly fake discounts last minute.

I like it. As for Delta, the coach class seats were hellish, if I had to fly those all the time I would die. Southwest coach seating is much better. However First class was really nice: My luggage even came out first because it was tagged. No waiting at baggage for me!
