I'm pretty sad right now. One my great literary heroes, JD Salinger, has just died at the age of 91.
Apparently there will be no service, just as it seems he would have wanted.

I didn't post this quote - I have to admit, I don't like it very much, but I was so mopey I posted a whole medley of names and quote snippets. He was amazing.

He was a great writer and got to create some beutiful work as well as live the solitary life he wanted so...there's some kind of comfort for me in knowing that.
