I'm seeing it tomorrow for the camp factor, and it sounds like it's pretty much perfect in that respect according to your review. Yay! >:D

Yup, it's definitely campy, cheesy fun.

Hey Jaz, I'm seeing twilight tonight. I pretty much feel the same way about it as you do, and didnt got last night for the reason you mentioned. But I'm seeing it today so I'll post what I think after. Although I am prepared to laugh at the cheese, every interview I've read shows that they really approached the characters in a deep and complex way, so I am looking forward to the performances.

And FYI, the girl playing Jessica...that's Anna Kendrick...she does that Ladies Who Lunch scene in CAMP, remember? Search YOUTUBE for her singing Life Upon the Wicked Stage. It's HILARIOUS.

And congrats about the job. I am very proud of you and want to hear more about it. We should all have dinner soon.

Oh my gosh, no wonder she was great!

I think Robert did a great job because he was campy and bizarre but definitely still being honest emotionally. I think over all, it was a good movie. But I would still have cut the sparkle scene and done it differently somehow because I don't think the audience is SUPPOSED to laugh at that moment.

Yeah, I had a feeling that scene would not work, but I refrain from judging until I see it all.

Whatever, I know it won't be Casablanca, but I plan on going and enjoying it anyway!

By the way Edward may have been that way bc initially Cedric I MEAN Robert decided to play him as a manic depressive. The director had to tone him down a bit.

I can totally see that in his performance. It was good. It gave life to semi-stale character. I appreciated how much they loved each other in the book but not until Robert accentuated his weirdness did I really get why she would have fallen for him. I buy someone falling for an incredibly weird, pale manic depressive guy much more easily than I buy someone falling for a nearly perfect, rock hard Adonis statue...but maybe that's just me.

Haha. Hopefully you get a theatre with people who are willing to laugh at the obviously silly parts. I was so happy that I did. I thought for sure the people in Union Square would be ultra hard-core serious about it, but not so much.

Haha. I was waiting to see what you would say this. I know how much you hate Twilight. Didn't want to let you down because I enjoyed the movie. But to fair, it's mostly because of giggling through 90% of it.
