Crazy Crossover Festival: Irresistible Forces Meet Immovable Object

These are all rather rough, mostly dialogue. And they don't start or end particularly neatly. How DO the House writers corral the man's banter? Basically, I'm just practicing this character here, playing around. Be kind ( Read more... )

Very odd. I mean, I had to write them kinda OOC just to make them get along. ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. It was fun!

wow, House is so intimidating (I would never even tempt writing him) but you did a great job!

I really loved the first two, with a preference to the one with Giles (since I know the guy! lol)

awesome!

He IS intimidating. :) When it works, it works. When it doesn't... *ducks and covers*

Anyway, thanks for reading these. I was the more afraid of Giles, but he turned out to be the easiest to write. Go figure.

I is back. With a shift key, even.

Ahem. I love this. And I love the Giles one, too, because omg, it's so Giles. As for Brennan and him. Eh. Y'can get away with a lot if they're both getting good sex. ;)

It's funny that Giles/House was the first of the long line of requests that my gut told me, "OMG, there's no way." Of course, that made me curious to try. I'm glad I did.

And I'm glad I let Brennan be OOC-giggly, because she's cute that way. And he's cute when he's being cute. Isn't that kind of wish-fulfillment what fanfic's for. ;)

Thanks for suggesting the Roslin/House. I'd actually like to write something more polished with the two of them. If I had the time... *gighs*

I can't comment on the third one since I don't watch Bones, but boy do I ever love the first two! Snarky snarky House, and with such stubborn people, at that. I love how he kept referring to Laura as an alien.

My favorite part overall, however:

The only people who think British people sound smart because of the accent are Americans, and I'm not American. I'm British. Incidentally, your Dr. Chase is not. He's Australian, and he does not think he's smarter than you. He looks at you like you intimidate him very much, and, aside from his being an inveterate doormat who miraculously managed to survive medical school, he cowers because he's half in love with you. Which, being American, you might not understand."

"Did you get that out of your system?"

"Yes, I believe I did."

OhmygodthatissoGiles. HEE.

Thanks! I thought it sounded like Giles, but I wasn't sure, since I flail a bit with characters who accents I can't speak. (I can do British, just not *his* British.) But when I can at least hear it in my head, it helps. Thank God for my friend who made me go through all 7 seasons of Buffy last summer. :)
