You know I thought I was seeing things when I saw that flash, I'm rewinding and watching that part again, I'll be back.
Every single person on that show has Daddy issues, which in a way, I sort of like, makes them more human.
Ben is creepy, which means I love that character.
I'm not as upset about Locke because one, he's not a favorite, two, I don't think he's dead, three, I was paying more attention to the bodies in a mass grave and Ben being all pissy about what Jacob said when he talks to him as well..and wondering WHY Ben didn't shoot him again..monologuing will be his downfall.
I'm definitely intrigued by the "others" vs. "Dharma" especially seeing as his right hand man is the same one and looks the same as the one that Ben met up with when he was a kid..no one seems to age. And was it just me or did he seem to almost disappear into Ben after he took that gas mask off and was walking away.
is there a single person on the island without Daddy Issues? Our mother went on forever about the Daddy Issues after the show. Seriously. She made a count on her hand. And when it was well into the local news, she asked, "What, no previews?" "Sorry, you were Daddy Issuing it." Jesus.
I too want to know about the "I see dead people" thing. And are the Other's all ageless, or was that hippie in the jungle who met Bitty!Ben Richard's dad who looks just like him!?

Seriously, Sara was watching with me (she who has only seen season one, and after me explaining the next two seasons thinks the show is insane), and I went on a Daddy Issues diatribe to her after it was over. You know, when I wasn't saying, "I can't believe he shot Locke!" and "There's no way he's dead!"
Dammit, I guess I am our mother's daughter...
Sara wanted to know the same thing about Richard. I'd forgotten he was there with little Ben, too. Weird. And all this makes me wonder exactly what was up with his behind-the-scenes wrangling of Locke last week. Also makes me wonder how to creepy off-island kid became the natives' leader.
Ben is terrifying in all his forms, but I love Michael Emerson & think he needs to be nominated for an Emmy.
Not nearly enough Sawyer screen time tonight, to say NOTHING of Desmond. And I understand being a fangirl for Desmond. Believe me, I'm one too. Ever since we met that crazy guy running up the stairs, calling people "brother", it's been squealy, flailing love.
And THANK you for still not trusting Juliet. I feel the same way. I was almost disappointed when the tape seemed to exonerate her...but I'm still not 100% convinced. Maybe I'm just stubborn.
And yeah. The Daddy Issues thing is getting HUGE. I want to find out that ONE of the characters didn't have them, but I think we're fresh out of chances. Desmond, maybe? *flails*
Locke isn't dead, I don't think. I hope not. If Mikhail can recover from his massive brain explosion (regardless of HOW high the pylons were set), I think he has a chance.
(Is it wrong to be oddly attracted to Mikhail? I don't want to porn him, mind. I just...I don't know. Accent, maybe. Or scruff.)

I'm very glad we got an instant paralell between Locke and Ben...the jealousy that Ben exhibits with Locke ACTUALLY showing up with his dead father when Ben had been faced with the same task...the fact that (possibly) crazy eyeliner!Richard saw something i the both of them, the thought that Locke really DID hear Jacob (whichm GAH SO CREEPY!) which would indicate that John *does* share some trait with him, *is* connected to the Island...
Perhaps there is some type of prophecy, perhaps Ben has been expecting John and is just NOT ready to submit to the threat he poses...IDK. BUT.
I am grateful to have seen his backstory. I wanted too and at least they have kept the running strain of Daddy!loses going. I'm totally happy that while it seems SELFISH, Locke (and Desmond, I do suppose) are willing to follow their path and attempt to see what lies beyond for them. Anyways.
