About a month ago I started a course to become a Reiki Master through Civas. Its a home course with 3 initiations/practice days. The course is very well written and I'm happy with it so far. I take this course in combination with aura/chakra healing ( Read more... )

Congratulation on getting your first degree reiki!

I'm not a very spiritual person myself but it all sounds interesting :)

Cool you're doing things like this. Congratulations on your first degree ^^/
Hmm, do I sense an abunai event here? ^_~

yeah you might, but I'm not sure If I will be able to do it this year already. I am perfectly able to tell something about the history and how it works. But thats only theory. I dunno if people will be interested to hear that.

I'd certainly be interested ^^/
but of course I don't know about the general public. Practical things are generally more appealing maybe, like what you explained to Damanique about visualising opening your chakras for example. Maybe a combination?
In any case, it's a very interesting subject + japan related ^^b

Things like that could make it interactive. I could not only tell them but I could actually do these with the public. Only more general of course. Think about visualisation techniques and reiki handpositions.

they wont have the initiation, however you still can focus your energy on something. Things that are also related to Reiki are aura and chakra exercises. Hmm.. I might suggest it in the next events meeting.

Hi Cynni, I've been reading Damanique's journal for a while now, and that's how I stumbled upon your journal. I've been looking for ways to treat my migraines, and Damanique said I might ask you if you know someone who does reiki in Nijmegen, or if you wouldn't mind having a look at me yourself sometime.

I dont mind having a look at you myself sometime. The thing with migraine is though that it is a problem thats hard to solve. Reiki could help you with the pain and it will probably improve things for you. However Reiki cannot cure migraines. Mirgraines can have many causes and even the doctors still dont know what exactly causes it. I assume you already went to a doctor with it, if not I recommend strongly that you will.

Anyway I have migraines myself and I have noticed that wearing an amethyst really helps. Also lavender is a great help when suffering from migraines. You can have it in a bag under you pillow for when you have an attack, (it lessens the time the attack lasts) or you can use it in tea. I have a very nice moon tea with lavender that works.

If you still want me to treat you, then drop me a line. However bear in mind that I'm not that experienced yet. If you rather have someone experienced I can recommend my uncle in Groesbeek. He has a Reiki practice for several years now.

I know migraine is a rather complex problem, and it probably can't be solved, but I thought I might find some alleviation in Reiki. If you need to practice, I might be an interesting subject, and I don't live very far away. You can contact me at Nathreee at gmail dot com.

Thanks for the tips. I often wear rosequartz to help me think clearly, but I'll look into getting an amethyst as well. Lavender is something my parents already told me about, but I've never tried lavender tea.

sorry for the long answer, however I'm obligated to ask certain things and to inform you well of what I can and cannot do. I will contact you soon through mail about it.
