IDK what to say. Looking at my personality, I would have just keep it quiet, but not before staring at that guy really hard. I think my defense mechanism has changed over the years... I would have still think about it for a long time after that (like what you're doing now) but it might not be because of guilt. Pity? to the old man rather than myself.

I think it's so much easier to react when it happens to someone else in front of you rather than to yourself. I hope it won't happen again to you.
