Broken Vans and such
Saw Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings last Sunday night with jackthebodyless, djvitruvius and of course the lovely xhollyday, among others. The music was crisp soul revue sound that was expected, and the only that could have made it better would have been the show starting on time. It was scheduled for 10pm, but one broken van later the band arrived at 11:45 and was on stage at midnight. This meant that sound quality was a bit dicey since they had no sound check, and I was more than a little tired, but those are my only complaints. Fortunately, most of the crowd stuck around, although Franklin & Maggie had to jet before the band arrived and jackthebodyless had to leave midway through. Apparently the band returns to Cleveland on Friday 11/4 when they play Wilberts. Details to follow as warranted.

Friday - Rachel arrives! Rehearsal & Rehearsal Dinner for Mike & Meredith.
Saturday - The wedding. Gifts are taken care of, I have a shirt picked out for under my dress clothes, now I just need to write down the toast.
Sunday - WRUW Staff Meeting, Delirium Series X, Nine Inch Nails @ Gund with Queens of the Stone Age.
