PKT25: Retreat

Much like Formal was our spring special event, Retreat was our fall special event. Retreat was basically a fancy name for "the Phi Kaps go camping," or at least outdoors. We'd take a weekend and go somewhere other than Cleveland. I don't remember if this aligned with Fall Break or was just random.

In the Fall 1999 semester, we rented some cabins

Nate, for the fall of 1999 I also remember that we rented cabins in West Virginia, but the main thing I remember about that trip was that we went white water rafting on the Youghiogheny River in Ohiopyle, PA. I remember getting thrown out of the boat into the river and Neal Pence helping to haul my ass back onboard after I swam back to the boat. I also remember Sp00 getting in my car for the ride back to the cabin not speaking for about 15 minutes and then announcing my car saved his life because he was so cold.

For the fall of 2000, I seem to remember we went to Lake Hope State Park in southeastern Ohio.
