Eating Out Fifteen - The 30 Days After Europe
I came back from Europe. I'd like to tell you that the number of times I ate out dropped to zero, but that would be untrue. In the 30 days after I returned from Europe, I ate out 22 times.
234. Wednesday, September 9 - Deagan's - On my very first night back in Ohio, still jetlagged, M took me back to our favorite haunt for dinner.
235. Friday, September 11 - Jammy Buggars - M really likes this place, and I like the burgers, so we had a nice Friday night out.
236. Saturday, September 12 - Guy's Pizza - My radio station's annual concert is Studio-A-Rama. We get pizza from the Guy's in Coventry in quantity every year.
237. Thursday, September 17 - Progressive Field - I had my season tickets, and I had nachos for dinner.
238. Friday, September 18 - Progressive Field - My friends Wayne & Jen were in town and let me a ticket. I didn't realize it was in a suite until I got there. Let me say that while it's nice to have lots of fried foods and hot dogs, it's the dessert cart that really elevates the suite experience. Oh yeah.
239. Friday, September 25 - Namaste Indian Garden - I picked up takeout and took it to Alex & Cynthia's house for dinner.
240. Saturday, September 26 - Castillo Real - M and I went out to Lorain for a somewhat sad and pathetic arts festival called FireFish. We did have some pretty solid Mexican food in a building that looked like a castle. The lakeside view was better than the food.
241. Saturday, September 26 - Deagan's - After FireFish, we returned and got a beer at Deagan's.
242. Friday, October 2 - Market Garden Brewery - Many of my fraternity brothers and their significant others were in Cleveland for a wedding. We gathered at Market Garden. I had my first scotch egg.
252. Saturday, October 3 - Brown Sugar Thai Lakewood - My sister flew in for the wedding as well. We had Thai for lunch.
253. Saturday, October 3 - Windows on the River - My fraternity brother Dave's wedding was in the Powerhouse. I'd never been in Windows on the River previously. I'd tell you how the food was, but let's be honest, I was hammered.
254. Sunday, October 4 - Pinata - For years, there was a Mexican joint near my alma mater called Mi Pueblo. A few years ago it became Pinatas, and then it was torn down. They're building condos or something similar there. Shari and I went for a dinner after our radio show.
255. Sunday, October 4 - Picadilly - After we had Mexican, Shari and I had fancy liquid nitrogen ice cream.
256. Friday, October 9 - Aut-O-Rama Twin Drive-In - After we went to the book launch for theferrett's first novel, M and I drove out to North Ridgeville to see Ghostbusters at the drive-in. We had movie nachos.
