The dev department at work got reorganized. Managers became VPs. Team Leaders became Managers and Senior Developers. This meant we needed Team Leaders. Specifically, my team needed a team leader as rishu73 got moved up the chain. I got tapped to fill his seat. Huzzah! More responsibilities, stress and hours. Bring it on!
Raises aren't automatic with promotions, but my review is in the next few weeks. If I wasn't doing something right I wouldn't have got promoted, so I feel reasonably hopeful about the prospects there.
