you know, typically I don't question most diagnosis too much. I'm really questioning what they determined on Keira.

Honestly, it isn't like I just don't believe what they said. They went from not knowing anything to spouting off a big huge disease-type word. The more I read about it, the more I question how they came up with her diagnosis. Read more... )

That is what I'm thinking. I think that is why I haven't started to panic. We are going to Birmingham soon to see the doctors there where they have a pediatric renal doctor. They have been in touch with the doctors up here.

*hugs* I agree on the second opinion, and a third if need be. The Ped Renal doctor should be a bit more up on things than the non sort, and being a specialist would be more likely to know what may be going on.

Yes, that is what I feel. And UAB in Birmingham is one of the best. Her doctors here are with UAB as well, but they don't seem to be as good up here.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and send good thoughts your way. Let's all hope it's nothing serious!

I know it sounds cliché, but there is a lot to be said for a mother's intuition in situations like this. If you have any doubts about the diagnosis, I'd definitely second going for a second opinion.

We are suppose to go to birmingham still. I figure they will actually know more about what is going on than what the docs up here have told us.
