On an intellectual level, I can certainly understand that.

Pardon me, my filter is off today - but that's a stupid fucking reason to not date someone. If you just can't be attracted to them, fine. But anything over 5'6 or so is acceptable to me. My ex is 5'8 and was perfect. I don't get it.

Heck...I went out on some dates, and was physically involved with, with a woman who was 6'4". We knew it wasn't a long term thing...as she very much expressed that in order for her to feel "like a woman", the guy she was with had to be taller than her. Given she was 6'4", not many guys out there who fit that bill...

...at that extreme, I can kind of understand. But for the rest of us mortals who are very average in height, well, it feels very dismissive due to a rather superficial trait.

But from my experience in online dating, and from a guy's perspective, the #1 thing that women want in a partner, and is stated over and over again in their profiles...is a guy who is tall.

Of that subset of woman...they also tend to be the ones who want a guy who is very financially successful, too. Go figure. :)

I'm sorry to hear that the height seems to be the thing she seems to think is why she doesn't want to date you. That's pretty crappy. It makes me feel like there is something more, *sigh*
