There were no sock puppet monsters in Pip and Kabuto's room.
There were an enormous number of shredded socks, and a triumphant looking cat sitting among them, grooming herself.
But no sock puppet monsters. -

There was a slightly see-through lump in the bed. He was not completely see-through and not completely intangible.
He still felt like crap, though.
The see-through lump rolled over in bed and groaned a little. -

Pip stretched a bit outside the door and turned to Kabuto (who was presumably there). "By the way, I should probably mention that I smoke. Do you mind or not? In the room, I mean."
