Do you have an Amazon account? You can set up something that lets anyone with an Amazon account donate money through their credit card instantly, online. It's Amazon Honors System, and I have one as a "tip jar" on my radio show's website.
It takes, seriously, 5 minutes to set up, and then you can plug it into your MySpace, your LJ, send the link to your friends, whatever. I've been meaning to set up a second one so if I get in financial trouble (like, more than I'm always in) when I'm out of town, my friends and family can send me money instantly and have it show up in my checking account.
