Congrats. You woke back up.

[Edward blinks a few times at the voice interrupting his reverie and surprise and he smiles just a little, closing his eyes. He nods just a little.]

Yeah. I'm up.

...the whole fight was broadcast here, you know.

[He looks a little surprised but nods a bit, that makes sense, he'd been trying to save something on his journal when he was interrupted.]

I didn't mean for that to happen. I wasn't expecting the abandoned lab to be not so abandoned. I didn't think anyone else would be as stupid as me.

[gonnabe1st]

You mean stupid enough to sneak into a facility that's been shut down because it's supposedly about to collapse?

[Ed shakes his head a little, wincing.]

Stupid enough to think of binding souls like that. I was stupid and desperate...what's their excuse?

[Edward is tired. He can't play with the settings on his device and so he just sighs, looking up at the ceiling.]

I don't want to talk about that...I don't want to think about that.

[In all likelihood, he would anyway.]

I know, I know. [he sighs.]

One good thing came of that little investigation of yours though.

True. But you'll agree that it can be an advantage for you if these people want to keep you alive, right?

[Edward sighs just a little and glances away.] What do they mean by sacrifice?

Hell if I know. The easiest way to find out would be to play along, but the label itself suggests that you're supposed to wind up dead or close to it at some point anyway.

[Ed snorts a bit.]
