So, I've pretty much burned through every legible Supernatural/Harry Potter crossover on FFN and AO3, and all I've got to say is:

Okay maybe here's not the proper place to say this, but dude, I LOVE your recs!!!

Stumbled on your rec link under a SPN ficfinder post, went through five or six entries I already kinda felt like I was in heaven. Seriously you have no idea how much I love hurt!Dean(in all kinds of various numerous beautifully deliciously hurting way) and as much as I love Sam (well apparently not THAT much...) I can't read any hurt!Sam stories. Just make me cringe. What can I say, a physically+mentally whumped Dean is the death of me.

Anyhow, just wanna you know that your SPN fic taste here is IMPECCABLE. Pleeeeease keep that rec list growing! Pleeeease!

Thanks! :D I work hard on them! I have trouble finding reclists that cater to the kinds of stuff I like and that keep up a standard of quality, so I really want to provide that for people.

I don't care for hurt!Sam either... He kind of bores me, really. I think it's because he reminds me a LOT of my brother in both appearance and personality, so all of the issues he has (Fuck you, Dad! & Fuck you, common sense, I'm teaming up with because I'm smarter than you!!!) just seem SO five years ago, you know? (And it makes seeing him hurt/evil/etc less appealing.)

It's juicier too, because Dean is just so much more messed up, hahaha! He needs hugs more than Sam does, and when Mr. I'm Fine finally accepts comfort, it resolves that tension we've had for LITERALLY THE ENTIRE SHOW and it's soooo satisfying. And like, Sam is the little brother, so his role is traditionally the one being comforted, and I like seeing that subverted, especially because he's got that prickly history of making nasty mistakes when it comes to Dean. I'm 100% with ya on the Mr. I'm Fine thing. Every time Dean shows his vulnerable side it's just so beautifully heartbreaking. You can't blame people to want break him a little bit more... right? *cough cough ( ... )
